BRDC is very much an ongoing development project, and although we are proud of what we are doing at the moment, we are also constantly striving to achieve bigger and better things. One issue that we are trying to address is the gender imbalance that is often present with society. In the near future, female orientated courses (such as hairdressing) will be offered at the Centre. This will run alongside our present training courses, as well as other new proposed areas of education such as plumbing and computing (with the help of a fully equipped computer workshop on site). We also hope to place more emphasis on both the short agricultural and practical courses taking place at the Centre that are available to the villages, giving people a chance to learn valuable skills. In addition to this we will continue to help and advise in the community when asked, responding to the needs of those in the surrounding area. |
