Working Demonstation Farm

	Of the 16 acres at BRDC, the majority is dedicated to the Working Demonstration Farm, which helps sustain both ourselves and the local community. The farm itself can be split into three main areas, the first of which involves tending livestock. The farm comprises of over 40 goats, 4 oxen, 50 beehives and a host of rabbits, ducks, chickens, turkeys, geese, and fish. The animals and their produce are available for purchase, whilst the male goats and oxen are additionally hired out to help locals enhance productivity.
		A second part of the farm is dedicated to the growth of maize, matokee, pineapple, coffee and other profitable crops. Whilst some is used at BRDC, for the most part they are sold as food to the community. This, along with the sale of fully grown eucalyptus, generates valuable income which helps BRDC to continue providing for others.
