Farming is a crucial part of village life and through the SHGs we aim to help people develop the knowledge and skills that will enable better crop yields and thus a higher income. Six-week courses are available at the Centre, but the bulk of the training is carried out within the community itself.
In addition to this, there is also a market for other businesses to thrive in rural areas. To help members of the SHGs make the most of this opportunity we allow a small number to attend classes at the Centre, as well as offering training for activities such as bicycle and radio repair in the villages. |
